Waste Pro announces its waste service contract with Louisiana State University (LSU) for solid waste and recycling dumpster services. This partnership will provide the university with the tools to further enhance waste management operations and meet its sustainability goals. The contract term is three and a half years, with renewal options for additional years.

LSU was founded in 1860 and is the flagship university for the state of Louisiana. Dedicated in 1926, LSU鈥檚 main campus in Baton Rouge is on a 1,2000-acre plateau on the banks of the Mississippi River and consists of more than 530 buildings, including Tiger Stadium and the Louisiana Museum of Natural History. LSU is a Carnegie 1 Very High Research Spending and Doctorate Production university that is comprised of twelve senior colleges, and more than 70 master鈥檚 and 50 doctoral degree programs, with an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 35,000 and 4,500 graduate students. It is one of only 24 universities nationwide holding land- grant, sea-grant, and space-grant designations.

鈥淧artnering with LSU is a natural fit, as both entities support the community and improve lives. Waste Pro has strong ties with the university, with several of our regional employees being LSU alumni,鈥 said Regional Vice President Jesse Murphy. 鈥淭his partnership with LSU continues to raise the profile of Waste Pro in the state, as the company positions itself as a dominant solid waste, recycling, and industrial company in Louisiana. Waste Pro has long-standing partnerships with the New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans, with at least five new acquisitions in the state within the last 12 months,鈥 said Jesse.
