Now that Christmas has come to an end, there is a lot of Holiday waste that comes from opening presents or even Christmas dinner. Luckily Tulsa’s American Waste Control is preparing for post-holiday recyclables as this is the highest volume time of the year.
American waste control receives up to 8.7 million pounds of recyclables per month, and with the holiday season, there is about a 10-12 percent increase in waste. The Mr. Murph 2.0 Recycling Facility uses AI Robotics to sort through the waste on products that can or cannot be recycled.
With AI having a potential impact on the job market, this machine can do up to 26,000 picks in an 8-hour shift, which is double what their actual workers can do alone. This AI machine also makes this facility the most technologically advanced recycling facility in Oklahoma.
