The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) announces the launch of a fully redesigned ShingleRecycling.org, a comprehensive resource dedicated to advancing the recycling of roofing materials, with a special focus on asphalt shingles. While CDRA has consistently updated the site over the past 24 years, the new improvements go beyond just content updates. The revamped site features a modern infrastructure, offering a streamlined, user-friendly experience that makes it easier for visitors to find crucial information on recycled asphalt shingles (RAS).
A key enhancement is the updated Find A Recycler tool, which has been redesigned for better navigation and ease of use, allowing users to quickly locate local recycling drop-off points. The site now also offers a convenient option for businesses to add their recycling facilities to the database through a simple submission form, ensuring that the resource remains as comprehensive and up-to-date as possible.
ShingleRecycling.org remains the go-to destination for the most comprehensive collection of RAS-related research, presentations, and reports. Some materials are freely accessible to all visitors, while others are exclusive to CDRA members. Among the newly added resources is a guide for roofing contractors, outlining best practices for properly preparing waste materials for recycling. The website also features valuable business tools, including a Best Practices guide for recyclers, and a sample Beneficial Use Determination (BUD). A key section of the site is dedicated to specifications for using RAS in road construction, with detailed information on Department of Transportation (DOT) state-level regulations.
The upgrade was led by CDRA鈥檚 Shingle Recycling Committee, the industry鈥檚 most active group dedicated to advancing the practice of shingle recycling. If you are looking to access exclusive resources, connect with fellow professionals, and collaborate on advancing the future of shingle recycling, join the CDRA today. 鈥淚鈥檓 grateful to the Shingle Recycling Committee for their collaboration on redesigning the ShingleRecycling.org website.
