In celebration of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, Schupan, a global leader in sustainable material solutions, 聽announces the ribbon cutting ceremony for their new Jim Paternoster (JP) Processing Center. The event will take place on August 5th from 11 am to 1 pm at the new facility in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The completion of Schupan’s JP Processing Center represents a significant step toward creating a more circular economy by producing sustainable aluminum products through post-consumer metal recycling. This reduces the carbon footprint of aluminum production and enables our clients to produce low-carbon aluminum for various industries.
The JP Processing Center is one of two new Schupan facilities to begin operations in 2024. The second, located in Russellville, Kentucky, cleans used beverage containers collected through curbside recycling to ensure the material meets the high-quality standards of our recycling partners.
As a leader in sustainable materials management, manufacturing, and trading, Schupan provides recyclable materials as valuable resources for global markets. Since 1968, the family-owned company has been a trusted leader in recycling and metals distribution with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation. With operations across multiple states and a growing global footprint, Schupan鈥檚 mission is to make a positive impact on the communities it serves and uphold recycling transparency for superior, low-carbon aluminum sourcing.
