Leaders from Republic Services, Parker, Centennial and the State of Colorado recently celebrated the opening of a new recycling, waste and organics hauling facility in the Town of Parker. The 22,000-square-foot facility will employ 150 people and be home to 100 collection trucks that will service Southern Denver, Southern Aurora, Centennial, Parker, Castle Rock and surrounding communities.

Parker Mayor Jeff Toborg was joined by Colorado State Rep. Anthony Hartsook and Centennial Mayor Pro Tem Tammy Maurer, along with Republic Services leaders, to cut the ribbon and officially open the facility.聽The 11-acre site has EV charging infrastructure to support 30 electric collection trucks and five passenger vehicles. The facility also includes a maintenance shop with six service bays and a 2,600-square-foot truck wash.
Republic Services employs 1,100 team members at 20 facilities across Colorado. In Denver Metro, the company鈥檚 sustainable operations include four hauling facilities that run 275 daily routes, three modern landfills, two transfer stations, a recycling facility and compost facility.
Republic Services of Denver recently launched an all-electric collection fleet in the City of Louisville, Colo., and is working with additional municipal partners interested in adopting EV collection service.
