State Rep. Carolyn Comitta, D-Chester, announced that she will be the co-prime sponsor on House Bill 2797; bipartisan legislation that would maintain the Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee, as it is currently scheduled to close on July 1, 2021. 鈥淪ince its formation in 1968, the JLCC鈥檚 mission remains to care for our natural resources and ensure that our executive branch and state government agencies do their jobs,鈥� Comitta said. 鈥淚t can be as simple as electronic waste and tires being recycled and disposed of properly, to keeping acid mine drainage out of our water supply. I鈥檓 proud to be a part of this bicameral, bipartisan committee that has worked to preserve and protect the health and safety of all Pennsylvanians, and hope to see its continuation.鈥�
