Metso has signed an agreement to acquire Diamond Z and Screen Machine Industries from Crane Group, an Ohio, US, based family-owned investment company.聽Diamond Z increases Metso鈥檚 offering in mobile equipment for the organic recycling markets.聽Screen Machine Industries broadens Metso鈥檚 portfolio in the North American mobile crushing and screening markets. Together, the companies employ approximately 190 people with locations in Caldwell, Idaho and Etna, Ohio.聽The companies will continue to operate independently in Metso鈥檚 Materials Processing Products business line. The value of the transaction is not disclosed, and it has no material impact on Metso鈥檚 finances.

Their offering consists of a broad range of high-speed聽grinders to suit varying needs from land clearing, construction and demolition, composting to tire disposal. 聽Screen Machine Industries offers a broad range of heavy-duty machines for various aggregates crushing and screening applications.
