Hambro Recycling recently opened its Eureka location, it is the first recycling center in the area in over two years. “We have been trying to spread out as much as possible, we figured that Eureka would be a great location for in-between of Fortuna and Arcata, and to get as many customers as possible,” said Hambro Eureka Recycling Center Manager, Micah Bagwell.
Hambro is the only CRV Redemption Center in Humboldt County. Operating in Crescent City, Willow Creek, Redway, Arcata, Fortuna, and now Eureka. Hambro offers recycling rates by weight, and specific prices for cans, bottles, and other materials.
“It is closer to everybody’s home, it makes it way more of a convenience than having to drive to Fortuna or Arcata, depending on which way you are closer and it also helps us bring in more material than before, just by having another location,” said Bagwell. The new location sits in the empty parking lot across from Redwood Acres Fairgrounds.
