Within the last year,听Liebherr Construction Equipment Co. has implemented strategic organization measures to achieve its new distribution goals. It has streamlined and reorganized its sales and product support units to continue to strengthen its current partnerships and deliver solid support to its growing distribution network.听The company has also broadened its product range offerings after reaching an agreement with Republic Crane & Equipment Co. earlier this year. Under this agreement, Republic Crane will cease being the national distributor for Liebherr material-handling equipment. The new arrangement will create opportunities for expanded distribution by consolidating the Liebherr product lines (earthmoving and material handling equipment) into a single channel. 鈥淎long with our internal reorganization and the widening of our product portfolio, we have been optimizing our distribution network and developing new partnerships鈥� We want to create value for our Dealers and Customers and ensure that the best available channels are in place to efficiently move our products and services and to properly compete in new markets鈥� Peter Mayr stated.
The restructuring initiatives that Liebherr Construction Equipment Co. began in early 2013 have been pursued and intensified in 2014. 听Liebherr has renewed long-term partnerships and has now extended its geographical footprint beyond its predominantly eastern U.S. territory. 听The Newport News, VA based company has signed four new dealer agreements within the last month and continues to evaluate new partnerships; ones that align with Liebherr鈥檚 core values and meet the company鈥檚 long term goals.
