Big B Waste Services announced that it has sold certain waste collection assets to Ohio-based family company, Rumpke Waste & Recycling. 鈥淔or more than 50 years, our family has proudly provided our neighbors with dependable waste collection,鈥� said Randy Hayes, owner Big B. 鈥淲e鈥檝e appreciated the opportunity to grow our business and provide two generations of family members with a meaningful career, but we are ready to start a new chapter.
Hayes added that while the name on the trucks may change, the team servicing the community will not change, as many of the Big B team members have joined Rumpke. In addition to servicing Big B customers, Rumpke will also take over operations at the Hayes Landfill on S. Spiceland Road in New Castle.
