American Beverage is celebrating significant improvements to America鈥檚 recycling infrastructure through the industry-leading initiative, Every Bottle Back. Member companies are carefully designing plastic bottles and aluminum cans to be 100% recyclable, and through this effort they鈥檙e working together to get them back so they can be remade into new containers, right here in America.
This uniquely American approach 鈥� pairing private sector leadership, investment and innovation with public benefit 鈥� is delivering real, measurable results. Since its launch in 2019 together with The Recycling Partnership and Closed Loop Partners, Every Bottle Back has reached more than 14 million Americans through nearly $30 million in investments. The work across 53 communities is estimated to yield more than 710 million new pounds of recycled PET and 44 million pounds of recycled aluminum over the next decade.

The initiative reflects the industry鈥檚 broader commitment to American communities and values. For nearly 150 years, America’s beverage companies have been an integral part of the nation’s fabric, creating 275,000 direct, good-paying jobs and supporting another 4.2 million across our value chain. The industry operates more than 4,400 manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities reaching every corner of the nation. We produce American products with American workers in America鈥檚 hometowns.
