Mitsui Chemicals America, Inc. announces they have been formally recognized by the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) for meeting the highest criteria for recyclability according to the APR Design® Guide for Plastics Recyclability for ADMER™ RA105A Recycling Agent.

“APR congratulates Mitsui Chemicals America, Inc. for taking action to improve the recyclability of their packaging and taking the steps to receive APR Design® Recognition,” said Steve Alexander, APR President & CEO. “Recyclable packaging means less waste, more efficient use of limited natural resources, and more high-quality post-consumer resin (PCR) for new products.”

ADMER™ RA105A is a newly developed compatibilizer for recycling of polyethylene based multi-layer packaging films. ADMER™ RA105A, when incorporated into resin formulations of Nylon/PE or EVOH/PE film structures, significantly enhances the miscibility between polar and non-polar resins during the mechanical recycling process.

This innovative additive not only improves the mechanical and optical properties of recycled films but also ensures process stability during extrusion with recycled content.

“We are extremely proud to have ADMER™ RA105A recognized by the APR,” said Johannes Roemer, General Manager of the Compounds Division from Mitsui Chemicals America, Inc. “This recognition underscores our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the recycling industry. ADMER™ RA105A is set to revolutionize the recycling industry by providing a more efficient and effective solution for producing high-quality recycled films.”
